License Server install and LAS registration
Citrix has transitioned from File based licensing to Internet based licensing. For additional information on the various Citrix products and how they leverage LAS click here.
These steps will walk you through the License Server install process and the registration to the Cloud LAS.
Also included are the steps to decommission a license server if you are retiring it.

Remove LAS registration and License Server
Install License Server
Mount the latest CVAD ISO
Browse to \x64\Licensing
Right click on CitrixLicensing.exe and Run as Administrator
Read and accept the license agreement
Click Next
Select the install location, we recommend keeping the default location
Click Next
The following firewall ports are required, if you are using a 3rd party software firewall be sure to enable these ports.
Click Next
Select if you want the License Server to notify you of updates, to automatically install license updates, or if you wish to manually renew your licenses.
This is just for the license files, not the license software.
Click Install
Select to have the License Manager to launch after you finish the install.
Select if you wish to take part in Citrix Licensing Call Home, or Customer Experience Improvement Program.
Click Finish
Register LAS
Open the Citrix Licensing Manager and click on Install Licenses
Click on Settings
Click on the Register Heading
Click on the Register button
Click the Copy button to store the 8 digit registration code
Click Go to Citrix Cloud
Login to the Cloud Portal website
Click the Register button
Paste in your copied 8 digit code from the clipboard.
Click Continue
Click Register
Once Registration completes click Close
Return to your License Manager tab and validate your Registration is complete
Click on Dashboard and validate all your licenses and count are correct
Remove License Server from LAS
Open the Citrix Licensing Manager
Click on Settings
Click on Register
Click on Remove registration
Click Remove
Login to Citrix Cloud
Click the Rubix cube in the upper Left
Click on Identity and Access Management
Click API - Product Registrations
Locate your License Server
Click the ... at the end of the line and select Remove registration
Click Remove
You now should uninstall the Citrix License Service from your computer
